November 3rd & 4th, 2022: Spirit week may be over for Syracuse Academy of Science atoms, but we can’t forget about the last two days! Day four was sweatpants day where students got to ditch their uniforms for comfy clothes! And the last day was college shirt day.
Thank you to everyone who participated in #spiritweek. We’re already looking forward to next year!
Saturday, October 29th, 2022: Mr. Stowe and Mr. Yaman took congressional award students to Ithaca, where they visited Ithaca Falls and Robert Truman State Park. Regular expeditions are just one part of what it takes to be a congressional award candidate on top of community service, physical fitness, and personal development.
It was a beautiful day for our students to work toward their goals and achieve success together.
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022: Syracuse Academy of Science High Schoolers were seeing double! Day three of spirit week was twin day. Whether students dressed to look like their best friend, classmate, or teacher, we saw some very creative outfits!
Why are ghosts so bad at telling lies? Because you can see right through them!
There weren’t many ghosts at Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School’s Fall festival costume parade, but there were plenty of princesses! That’s because the theme of this year’s parade was Walt Disney with Disney characters! Staff, students, and even some parents dressed up in costumes for an outdoor parade around the playground, followed by some fall crafts and activities in classrooms.
We hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!
Friday, October 28th, 2022: Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School's character trait for October was Trustworthiness. To be trustworthy means to be reliable, keep promises, and do what you say you will do. Trustworthiness also means telling the truth and being honest with words and actions, even when it may be difficult.
Congratulations to Mrs. Eno, Ms. Pikowski, and all of our students of the month for being so Trustworthy!
