This web page was created to provide resources and keep the Syracuse Academy of Science community informed. This is the official source of information on COVID-19 for our school. The page will be updated frequently, so please check back regularly.

First Day of School Announcement

Monday, August 17, 2020—The opening day of school for students for the 2020-2021 school year will still be Tuesday, September 8th. All students, K-12, will begin on September 8th with remote learning.

Hybrid learning will start on Monday, September 14th for SAS Elementary and Middle school, and the Citizenship Elementary School. The SAS High School will remain remote. ENL and SPED students will be offered to come in to the school for four days of instruction with the hybrid model.

About COVID-19

Since this virus is very new, health authorities continue to carefully watch how this virus spreads. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is working hard to learn as much as possible about this new virus, so that we can better understand how it spreads and causes illness. The CDC considers this virus to be a serious public health concern.
