Black History Month

Monday, February 1st, 2021—Syracuse Academy of Science high school will be celebrating Black History Month during the month of February. Students will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities. Activities include but are not limited to a book club, a virtual guest speaker and a media celebration.

If students elect to participate in a media celebration, they will have an opportunity to create their own video, artwork or written essay on topics which include but are not limited to sharing a family story or tradition, who is someone that has inspired them and who is someone you’ve learned about this month. Media celebration projects are due on February 12^th. Prizes will be awarded.
