On Thursday, February 7, 2019, sportsmanship and positivity were primary goals for third and fourth graders who recently visited the Ultimate Goal family sports center in Marcellus, NY. Led by coaches, students worked together in teams to complete group activities. One of the favorites was tug-of-war, along with kickball and dodgeball. Diverse athletic activities gave students opportunities to problem solve, practice effective communication skills, and develop a wide range of gross motor skills while enjoying physical exercise. Students and staff agree, it was an exhilarating experience--and a great way to beat the mid-winter blues.
