Balancing Mind and Body

Thursday, April 25, 2019—During a field trip to Syracuse Yoga, students learned the importance of the mind/body connection and experienced the positive effects of some yoga poses and breathing techniques. For example, they learned how to perform a downward-facing dog and an upward-facing dog position, reaping the stretching and strengthening benefits of both. In a group exercise, the whole class of students formed a tree pose. Best of all, they relaxed and danced to some awesome yoga music.
