Syracuse City Firefighters Visit Kindergarten

Thursday, April 11, 2019—Kindergartners received an exciting visit from some Syracuse City Firefighters. Fire Chief Davis read the book No Dragons for Tea to the students and spoke with them about the importance of fire safety. Students were able to see firefighting gear up close and learn the stop, drop, and roll fire-safety technique. Students were then able to sit inside the fire truck and see its bells and whistles. They enjoyed asking questions and posing for pictures with the fire hose. Each student received a helmet, stickers, pencils, and literature to take home, and they were encouraged to share all they learned with their friends and family. Thank you, Syracuse City Fire Department, for helping us to live safely!
