Atoms Learn first-hand about the Butterfly Life Cycle

SASCS Atoms gained hands-on experience when learning about the life cycle of a Painted Lady butterfly

Wednesday, June 12, 2019—Animals in action are so much fun … especially when you have hands-on experience with a beautiful Painted Lady Butterfly. Atoms witnessed the stages of their soon to be butterfly. From an oh so tiny caterpillar, to watching it form a cocoon in the chrysalides stage, to emerging into a Painted Lady butterfly two weeks later, to finally entering metamorphosis. This is an experience that they will never forget. Atoms safely released their new friend into the wild on a beautiful sunny day.
