First Grade Atoms 'Studied Abroad' in Turkey

First grade Atoms learned about the country Turkey, created arts and crafts projects and learned to write their name in Arabic

Friday, July 19, 2019—Atoms have some summer fun as they learn about countries from around the world. After reading a story about the country Turkey, students use their imagination as they gear up for a 'trip abroad.' Atoms learned about mosques and how they are a place of Muslim worship. No trip is ever complete without an arts and crafts project. Students used paint, paper bowls, and Popsicle sticks to create their own mosques, and they also learned how to write their name in Arabic. A trip around the world in one afternoon.
