Tuesday, October 8, 2019—The Middle School STEAM club met for the first time and lets just say things got a bit sticky and slimey! Atoms put their creative and scientific brains to work as they combine glue, Borax, shaving cream and food coloring to create everyone's favorite, slime. This hands on experience allowed the students to understand both the chemical bonds to create this gooey, sticky, slime, as well as, perfecting the right color combination to create the most beautiful hues. The STEAM club discussed upcoming competitions they would like to participate in throughout the year. Stay tuned for more from the STEAM club and these awesome experiments and activities.
