Monday, February 26th, 2024: Syracuse Academy of Science High School scholars were on the road again for another college visit! This time, they visited SUNY Geneseo and learned all about the programs offered and campus life. The best way to know if a school is a good fit is to go and visit, and these Atoms are taking advantage of all the opportunities to do just that.
Saturday, March 9th, 2024: The Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School STEAM Club is building future frontiers and women in STEM. The club went to the Museum of Science and Technology for a presentation from the Future Women in STEM event. The girls learned about how they are using drones in the medical field. Unfortunately, they could not fly the drones outside due to the weather, but students saw a video of them delivering medical supplies to the hospital instead!
Tuesday, March 5th, 2024: Crazy, silly, frumpy, or frilly: Day 2 of Read Across America Week at Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary was Hat Day! Atoms and staff wore their favorite hats to school to celebrate their love of reading and Dr. Seuss's birthday.
Thursday, March 7th, 2024: As part of our Read Across America Week, Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School students brought their best-stuffed buddies into school to read with! Reading to a stuffed friend helps students practice fluency and dictation and builds confidence. Atoms had a great time showing off their stuffies, and the stuffed friends also enjoyed their time at school for the day!
Sunday, March 3rd, 2024: The Syracuse Academy of Science robotics teams "SAS ATOMS" and "NEW WAVE" showcased their talent and dedication at the MVCC Regional First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics tournament.
