Tuesday, April 16th, 2024: Attention, Syracuse Academy of Science Families: Due to the inclement weather day used on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, the school will be in session on Monday, April 29th, 2024 (originally designated as a Contingency Day).

Please remember that all SASCS schools and offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th, in observance of Memorial Day. In addition, because we did not use our allotted snow days for the school year, schools will be closed for all students and staff on Friday, May 24th, 2024, and Tuesday, May 28th, 2024!

Monday, March 25th, 2024: In March of 2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act into law. Under this Act, funds were dedicated to schools to assist with closing learning gaps caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Three years later, we are holding a meeting with stakeholders to discuss how Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary used those funds. Families, staff, and community members are welcome to join us for that meeting on Monday, March 25th, at 4:30 pm.

Friday, February 16th, 2024: Attention Syracuse Academy of Science families: the school will be closed for President's Day on Monday, February 19th, and mid-winter break Monday through Friday, February 23rd. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, February 26th.

Friday, December 22nd, 2023: School's out! It's time to swap textbooks for snowballs! Unleash the magic of the holiday season, Atoms. Winter break begins today, December 22nd, and runs through Monday, January 1st. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, January 2nd!

Tuesday, November 28th, 2023: Syracuse Academy of Science will face Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse in a historic boys-modified basketball game. Not only is this a game between our two schools, but it’s also the first game between two alumni who are head coaches for both schools and graduated from SAS. Coach McGriff and Coach Tape were also members of the State title team in 2011.

This is a pivotal moment in SANY’s history. Support the Atoms and show your SANY pride tomorrow at 4:30 pm in the Citizenship Elementary School gym!

Thanksgiving recess is from Wednesday, November 22- Friday, November 24. We look forward to welcoming Atoms back on Monday, November 27. Enjoy the long weekend, and have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Wednesday, November 15th, 2023: Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary is holding Literacy Night on Thursday, November 16th! We look forward to seeing students and families for an evening of literacy fun.

Friday, November 10th, 2023: There is no school today in Honor of Veteran's Day. We are showing our appreciation to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Let's take a moment to honor the sacrifices and remember that freedom is never free. We are forever thankful for those who have served and given us the freedom to thrive.

Monday, September 18th, 2023: Smile, Atoms! Tuesday, September 19th is picture day for 5th-7th grade. Wednesday, September 20th is picture day for 8th-12th grade.
