Thursday, June 8th, 2023: Heads up, art fans! Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School’s Art Night will be in the gym on Thursday, June 8th, from 5-7 pm. Yearbooks will also be for sale at the event for $10 cash.

Students are invited with their families to view artwork and maybe create a few pieces of their own. We hope to see you there!

Thursday, May 25th, 2023: Good news! The Science Academies of New York Charter Schools are celebrating 20 years of growth and success in Syracuse! We are so thankful to be able to provide families with high-quality STEM-based education for the last two decades, and we can’t wait to celebrate our accomplishments together with our staff, alumni, families, and community members! 

We can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Monday, May 15th, 2023: Spring is in the air, and so is Syracuse Academy of Science High School’s annual Spring Music Concert & Art Show! Celebrate a hard year's worth of hard work by student musicians and artists. The event is free to attend and open to all. 

Join us Monday, May 15th, in the High School gym located at 1001 Park Avenue.

Friday, May 5th, 2023: Not all superheroes wear capes! May 5th is Lunch Heroes Day, and at Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School, we are serving up some love for our cafeteria staff! Join us in saying "Thanks bunches for the lunches" to the wonderful people providing us with nutritious meals daily!

Monday, April 3rd, 2023: Happy Spring Recess! This is a friendly reminder that Syracuse Academy of Science will be closed from Monday, April 3rd, through Friday, April 7th, for Spring Recess. We look forward to welcoming Atoms back on Monday, April 10th.

If you want to enroll your child at Syracuse Academy of Science and would like to attend an open house, Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school is hosting another one. Thursday, March 23, starting at 4 pm, bring your student in for an information session about our district and a school tour! 

We are enrolling new students for the 2023-24 school year now! The Science Academies of New York (SANY) are tuition-free public schools focusing on a STEM-based curriculum. Learn more about how we can help your child grow with SANY by attending our Open House.

Friday, March 10th, 2023: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go,” Dr. Seuss. 

Book lovers, rejoice! Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School's Spring Book Fair runs Monday, March 13th through Friday, March 17th! Students can view the books online and make a wish list for their parents. Parents can send their scholar in with money or sign up for an e-wallet. There will also be opportunities for families to come in and shop with their children Monday through Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 pm. The Book Fair will also be open on Thursday, March 16th, during Math Night! Check out our Book Fair Homepage for more information. 

Thursday, March 2nd, 2023: “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader!” It’s National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss’s birthday!

Did you know children who read 1,000,000 words a year are in the top two percent of reading achievement? That may sound like a lot, but reading just 20 minutes a day adds up to reading 1,800,000 words yearly!

And it’s the fastest way to build vocabulary - Children learn 4,000–12,000 words every year by reading.

Tuesday, February 21st, 2023: Governor Kathy Hochul is taking action to give New York State families access to fair and affordable learning opportunities.
