Bugs and Kisses from Mrs. Bloss’ 2nd Graders

Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school students in Mrs. Bloss’ 2nd-grade science class observes and records daily changes of crickets and mealworms to learn about their unique life cycle.

Friday, March 11th, 2022Creepy crawlers, bugs and insects - the 2nd-grade students in Mrs. Bloss’ class at Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school are sending you ‘bugs’ and kisses.

As the Atoms prepared for their science lesson on insects, each student received their very own mealworm ‘pet.’ For this science experiment, Atoms were required to observe and record any and all daily changes to learn about the mealworm’s life cycle. Not to be out done, the Atoms also learned about the life cycle, anatomy and unique structure of crickets.
