Syracuse Academy of Science High School Robotics Team Attends the Catapult Challenge

Saturday, October 12th, 2024: Syracuse Academy of Science High School proudly announces that two of our Robotics Team students, Gianna Ciciaralli and Ghader Alomeri, earned second place in the high school division at the MOST Catapult Challenge! The Robotics Team attended the competition with 6 teams and 12 students. Congratulations to all!

Saturday, October 12th, 2024: Talented 4th-grade students from the Syracuse Academy of Science Catapult Club participated in the Catapult Competition at the Museum of Science & Technology. After weeks of designing, building, and refining their catapults, they were ready to test their creations in two key challenges: accuracy and distance. 

The event was filled with excitement as students launched their catapults, cheering each other on and learning from other teams. Their hard work, creativity, and team spirit truly stood out, earning them the Team Spirit Award! We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, teamwork, and passion for STEM.

Congratulations to all our students for their fantastic efforts and achievements!

 

Comeback Kings: SAS HS Boys Soccer Shines in Second-Half Battle

Saturday, September 14th, 2024: Shoutout to the Syracuse Academy of Science Boys High School soccer team for an amazing comeback effort against Cazenovia! Down 4-0 at halftime, they fought back to 4-2 and shut down the Caz Lakers in the second half!

Friday, September 20th, 2024: Syracuse Academy of Science 9th-grade students in Ms. Lyn’s Global classes are constructing world maps to gain a deeper understanding of historical events from a geographical perspective. This hands-on project helps students connect the dots between history and the world around them, bringing the past to life!

Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School Scholars Enjoy Jenga Inspired Game in Art Class

Friday, September 13th, 2024: Second, third, and fourth-grade Syracuse Academy of Science Atoms kicked off their first week of Art with a unique twist! Ms. A-B introduced these scholars to a Jenga-inspired game called Pick One! Students had a blast searching for colors while carefully balancing their towers. The challenge? Keep the tower from tumbling!
