Book lovers, rejoice! Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School's Spring Book Fair runs Monday, March 13th through Friday, March 17th! Students can view the books online and make a wish list for their parents. Parents can send their scholar in with money or sign up for an e-wallet. There will also be opportunities for families to come in and shop with their children Monday through Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 pm. Tuesday, February 21st, 2023: Governor Kathy Hochul is taking action to give New York State families access to fair and affordable learning opportunities. Please help us reach out to our legislators to keep funding for charter schools in the executive budget. Take a minute to sign this letter for the Governor and support public charter school education.

Thursday, March 2nd, 2023: “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader!” It’s National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss’s birthday!

Did you know children who read 1,000,000 words a year are in the top two percent of reading achievement? That may sound like a lot, but reading just 20 minutes a day adds up to reading 1,800,000 words yearly!

And it’s the fastest way to build vocabulary - Children learn 4,000–12,000 words every year by reading.
