Friday, April 30th, 2021—Syracuse Academy of Science high school welcomes Dale McMillian Jr. for its next Senior Spotlight. This future real-estate mogul shares with us in our virtual interview who inspires him the most, what is one of his major accomplishments he had during his senior year, his favorite memory as an Atom and so much more. Interview with Dale McMillian Jr.

• What is one major accomplishment you had in your senior year of high school? Being in National Honors Society.
• What are your goals for after high school? To attend college and begin my career in real estate.
• Name one person that inspires you? Drake - everyone has to know this!
• What advice would you give to the next senior class? Do what you want to do! Don’t waste time trying to please others when you’re not pleased! Always face reality!
• Where do you see yourself in five years? I see myself as a college graduate and beginning to become a successful businessman.
• If you could have dinner with any person living or dead who would they be and why? Elon Musk, I just have a ton of questions for him on how he lives life outside of the money.
• Name three traits that describe you? Humble, creative and loyal
• What is your favorite hobby? Listening to music with the guys.
• What is a hidden talent that no one or only a few people know about you? I can sing, dance, and DJ.
• What is your favorite memory of SAS? Definitely Pep Rallies - It’s so lit when the whole school comes together and dances and represents their class and the school as a whole.

Monday, April 26th, 2021—In honor of National Poetry Month, Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school hosted its annual Poetry Slam virtually this year. Throughout the month, the students have been working diligently learning about the various types of poetry, and submitted a poem for this year’s Poetry Slam. The theme was, ‘What Makes Me and Amazing Kid.’

We would like to give a quick shout out and snaps to Ms. Irvine who helped narrate the poems written by the talented Atoms, and for all those who helped make this event possible. Wednesday, April 28th, 2021—Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school hosted its monthly virtual Student of the Month Ceremony where it recognized students and staff for demonstrating the character trait, perseverance. As we all know, Atoms work very hard, they always try their best, and most importantly they never give up! We would like to congratulate all of our nominees and the Atoms. Friday, April 23rd, 2021—Slam Dunk! Congratulations to Syracuse Academy of Science high school senior, Vazcee Robinson for officially signing to play women’s basketball for Onondaga Community College. We are very excited for this bright, young, talented Atom and look forward to watching your games.
