Monday, April 26th, 2021—In honor of National Poetry Month, Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school hosted its annual Poetry Slam virtually this year. Throughout the month, the students have been working diligently learning about the various types of poetry, and submitted a poem for this year’s Poetry Slam. The theme was, ‘What Makes Me and Amazing Kid.’
We would like to give a quick shout out and snaps to Ms. Irvine who helped narrate the poems written by the talented Atoms, and for all those who helped make this event possible. Wednesday, April 28th, 2021—Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school hosted its monthly virtual Student of the Month Ceremony where it recognized students and staff for demonstrating the character trait, perseverance. As we all know, Atoms work very hard, they always try their best, and most importantly they never give up! We would like to congratulate all of our nominees and the Atoms. Congratulations to Syracuse Academy of Science high school senior, Vazcee Robinson for officially signing to play women’s basketball for Onondaga Community College. We are very excited for this bright, young, talented Atom and look forward to watching your games.
