Parent Engagement at SAS ES
Thursday, December 19th, 2024: At Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School, we believe that education is a collaborative effort between our teachers, students, and families. We enjoyed welcoming a special guest to Ms. Amodie and Ms. Mack's 2A classroom. A parent volunteer stopped by to read a meaningful story to our Atoms, creating a moment of connection and inspiration.
The story focused on listening at home and in the classroom. Through engaging characters and relatable lessons, it encouraged students to practice attentiveness, empathy, and respect—valuable skills that enhance their academic and social growth.
This visit was an excellent example of the strong partnership we strive to foster with our families. When parents take the time to share their experiences, talents, and encouragement, it strengthens our school community and reinforces the message that learning is a shared journey.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the parent who visited 2A and the families who continually support our scholars. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Together, we are building a foundation for success beyond the classroom. If you’re a parent or guardian interested in volunteering or sharing a story with our students, we would love to hear from you! Opportunities like these help create memorable experiences and lasting connections for our SAS Atoms.
