Key Elements to Success
Parental Involvement and Home Visits
SASCS believes that students are most successful when schools and families work as true partners. Learning does not begin and end at the school door; it is strengthened through supportive relationships, shared expectations, and open communication between educators and families. For this reason, parent involvement is not just encouraged at SASCS — it is intentionally built into the school culture.
Students’ success and performance are affected not only by teachers but also by their parents and environment. Therefore, parental involvement is a significant part of our school’s strategic goals. SASCS teachers and staff perform home visits to build stronger parent-student-teacher relationships and to better understand each child’s needs. During home visits, teachers encourage parents to participate actively in their student’s learning at home and provide guidance on how to support progress and independent study habits.
Parents are also encouraged to join the Dean for “Coffee and Conversations,” an open and informal forum where families can share suggestions, ask questions, and offer ideas for improving school programs and learning experiences. This open-door approach builds trust, strengthens communication, and ensures that families feel heard, valued, and included in their child’s educational journey.
