Hello SANY families, students, and staff,
The holidays are a great time to reflect on community, gratitude, and connection; values that shine in our SANY family every day.
This has been a year of remarkable success. Our SAS High School team earned first place in both the MOST Bridges Challenge and the Catapult Challenge. Our SAS Middle School students swept the Junior Section, winning first through fourth place. And UAS Junior-Senior High School students competed with seventy students across Central New York, earning second, third, and fourth place in the Senior Section. We also saw an increase in enrollment in our Dual College Credit program, providing more students with access to advanced opportunities.
To our students: thank you for your curiosity, hard work, and the energy you bring into our schools. You inspire us every day.
To our staff: your dedication, whether in the classroom, at after-school programs, weekend events, or supporting our buildings, truly makes a difference. Thank you for everything you do.
To our families: thank you for your trust and partnership. Together, we help our scholars grow and thrive.
As we enter the new year, I’m excited for all we will accomplish together. Let’s continue moving forward with purpose and positivity.
On behalf of the entire SANY community, I wish you a happy holiday season and a healthy, joyful New Year.

Monday, November 24th, 2025: SANY families, scholars, and staff,
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to pause and share my sincere gratitude for each of you. Our scholars bring curiosity, energy, and heart into our classrooms every single day, and it shows in the way they learn, grow, and support one another. To our dedicated staff, thank you for the steadiness you bring to your work—your patience, professionalism, and commitment to our mission lift our entire community. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed, and they make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and their families.
I hope this break gives you the space to rest, reflect, and reconnect with the people who matter most. If you’re traveling, may the journey be safe and stress-free. If you’re staying close to home, may the time be peaceful, restorative, and full of good moments.
Congratulations to all our SANY scholars for their impressive achievements at the MOST Bridges Challenge! Our SAS High School team earned 1st Place in the Senior Section, powered by dedicated student volunteers and strong coaching leadership. At the Middle School level, SAS Atoms secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Places in the Junior Section, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and engineering skill. Our UAS Junior-Senior High School Atoms also made us proud, with 70 students competing across CNY and earning 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Place in the Senior Section. A heartfelt thank-you to all coaches and staff whose guidance helped our students shine. Outstanding work from every team — a true celebration of SANY excellence!
When we return, we’ll be stepping into the final stretch of 2025—a stretch that always seems to pick up speed. It’s a time to finish strong, support one another, and build on the progress we’ve already made. I’m confident we’ll come back recharged and ready to make the most of the weeks ahead.
Wishing you a warm, joyful, and memorable Thanksgiving. Thank you for being an essential part of the SANY community.

You’re the gift that keeps on thanks-giving. While you prepare your Thanksgiving dinners, before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season sets in, we want to express our sincere gratitude to each of you. It's easy to get lost in the things we don't have. The fancy car, the clothes, the latest phone. Instead, try focusing on everything you do have. Ultimately, you will find it's a much greater list with a more significant impact.
This season, focus on the things you're thankful for, and the gratitude will follow. May your blessings be many, your troubles be few, and your Thanksgiving be wonderful.
Superintendent Dr. Hayali has prepared a special Thanksgiving message. Take a look.
