Wednesday, June 18, 2019—With the much anticipated graduation day right around the corner, our seniors are excited to try on their cap and gown for the first time. Before they can take that infamous walk across the stage to receive their diploma, they must first walk down memory lane, and go back to a place where it all began, elementary school. Our young Atoms, faculty and staff cheered on the soon to be graduates and wished them good luck on their upcoming graduation. We are excited to celebrate the Class of 2019, and wish all the Atoms good luck. Once an ATOM, always an Atom.
Friday, May 3, 2019—At Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School we pride ourselves in creating a college-bound environment. We introduce our scholars to the concept of attending college in kindergarten. Throughout their academic tenure, we provide multiple opportunities to learn about and prepare for the college experience. One way we accomplish this is through a college visit. Our 11th grade class experienced first hand, a day in the life at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. This experience allowed for our Atoms to gain a better understanding of what the college has to offer and it just one of the many ways we are building success, one ATOM at a time.
On Thursday, December 13, 2018, Students in Ms. Merrithew's AP art class learned firsthand the great influence school can have on anyone who wants to become a success in today’s ever-changing art world. Artist Jaleel Campbell talked about the need to keep reinventing yourself. “In this industry, it is important that you show how you can execute your thoughts and ideas in a variety of different ways, all the while remaining true to the brand and who you are. Whether it be graphic design, illustration, photography or fiber arts, I am on a mission to master of all of these different mediums. What started out as a hobby during my youth has turned into a career filled with new challenges, rewards and, most important, opportunities.”
Friday, May 31, 2019—With graduation right around the corner, three weeks to be exact, we look back on previous graduating class senior videos. This week we share with you the class of 2016. Join us each week on Facebook as we share one video every Friday leading up to graduation as we get ready to celebrate the class of 2019. We'll save the confetti and tassel moving for then … but in the meantime, sit back, relax and enjoy these videos. Please stay tuned for more details on graduation.

On Thursday, June 14, 2018, our #SASCS kindergartners enjoyed one of their last full days of school learning about exotic animals, their habitats, and what we need to do to ensure that these species can continue to live and thrive in the wild at The Wild Animal Park. Our #SASAtoms enjoyed feeding the giraffes and camels. They also had a great time seeing all of the animals that are naturally from other parts of the world. Go Atoms! #SASCS #SASAtoms
