Wednesday, September 4, 2019—Join us for our Student Orientation for our Elementary, Middle and High School Atoms on Wednesday, September 4^th. Please see the times and details below for each of the buildings.

Elementary School

Time: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM

Location: Elementary School Gym

We will be hosting our Student Orientation for parents and guardians. During the orientation, we will discuss transportation, our wellness policy, student code of conduct, technology, and visitation. Students and parents will have an opportunity at the end of the orientation to go to their child's classroom and meet their teacher. We encourage everyone to attend so you can stay in the know with annual updates.

Middle School

Time: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

During the Student Orientation, Atoms will have the opportunity to drop off their school supplies. Please label your student's school supplies with their grade level. Permission forms for Movie and Field Trips, as well as, Emergency Cards, will be made available for parents to complete.

High School

Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

During the orientation, students will receive locker information, meet their teachers, complete required paperwork, and become familiar with the expectations for the 2019 - 2020 school year.

Friday, August 30, 2019—Just a friendly reminder, there will be no school on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. The First Day of School is Thursday, September 5th. Have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend, Atoms!

Thursday, August 15, 2019—We are looking forward to seeing our Atoms in just a few short weeks. As a friendly reminder, the Student Handbook is updated for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Please click here to review the policies, and procedures prior to the First Day of School. Elementary, Middle and High School will each have their own Student Handbook.

Tuesday, August 13, 2019—The 2019 - 2020 school year is approaching quickly. This year, there have been updates to the start and end time, as well as, the Bell Schedule for our Syracuse Academy of Science schools. Please view the times and schedules below for your student's respective school.

Elementary - The school day will begin at 7:45 AM and will conclude at 3:30 PM

Middle School - Below is their Full Day Bell Schedule

High School - Below are their Bell Schedules for the following: Full Day, Awards only, 2 Hour Delay and Award/Pep Rally. In the instance of a half-day, the students schedules will be alternating between Periods 1-4 and Periods 5-9.

Friday, August 9, 2019—It's the most wonderful time of the year, School Supply List time. While summer is still in full swing, we want to make sure our Atoms are prepared for the First Day of School on September 5th. Head to our Supply List section, which can be found on the homepage, to view the complete list of items needed for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Supply Lists are broken down by each grade. Wednesday, August 7, 2019—Calling all parents/guardians of Fall Student Athletes. Join us this Saturday, August 10th for our Fall Sports Meeting. The meeting will be held at Syracuse Academy of Science High School in their main conference room at 1:00 PM. Sign up forms will be made available for you to complete. Please bring with you your students current physical.

The 2019 - 2020 Fall Sports include: Cheerleading, Modified Cross Country, Varsity Cross Country (both boys and girls), Modified Football, Varsity Football, JV Volleyball and Varsity Volleyball.

Friday, August 2, 2019—As the saying goes, "you are what you eat." But did you know that healthy eating and physical activity are just two components that can make up and help increase a students' ability to learn? Join us for our first ever Wellness Meeting on Wednesday, August 7th from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will be discussing topics such as:

• How an environment can support a students well-being
• How creating an environment can support a students' health and wellness
• How healthy eating and physical activity can support a students' ability to learn … and more!

The meeting will be held at Syracuse Academy of Science High School's main conference room. Please enter through the West Genesee Street entrance. Parking will be made available on Lakeview Avenue. We hope to see you there!

Attention all 9th-12th grade students, who need to complete the August Regents Exam, please mark your calendar for Tuesday, August 13th and Wednesday, August 14th. Regents Exams will begin at 8:15 AM. Please consult the schedule below for additional exam information.

This is a great way to stay up to date with all the latest events, holidays and more. Please note, the First Day of School is Thursday, September 5th. Have a great summer Atoms!

Attention all 9th - 12th grade students, Regents exams will kick-off on Monday, June 3rd at 9:15 AM. Regents exams will continue Tuesday, June 18th through Tuesday, June 25th. Students will be notified if they are required to take an exam or attend a review class. If students do not have a Regents exam or a Regents review class to attend, they will not need to come to school during that week. Please consult the schedule below for additional exam information.
