Friday, May 15th, 2026: Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School's first-grade students enjoyed an exciting field trip to The Haven at Skanda, a farm in Cazenovia where our very own Mrs. Goyer houses her horse, Chester.

During their visit, students had the opportunity to meet and pet farm animals while learning about life on a working farm. One of the highlights of the day was meeting Chester and taking turns riding him.

The field trip provided scholars with a fun, hands-on learning opportunity outside the classroom and allowed them to connect with animals in a unique way. Students returned with smiles, stories, and lasting memories from their day on the farm.
