Monday, March 9, 2026: Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School celebrated a historic milestone as our first Atom redeemed 750 Dojo points to become Principal for the Day!

Ms. Burnett from 2nd grade spent the day shadowing Mrs. Miller and learning about the many responsibilities of a school principal. She greeted students as they arrived, joined Mrs. Miller for a morning walkthrough to say hello to each classroom, participated in two classroom read-alouds, sat in on an interview, and even worked at the principal’s desk to complete an assignment.

As part of her special day, Ms. Burnett also invited two friends to join her for a celebratory lunch with Mrs. Miller in the principal’s office.

We are incredibly proud of Ms. Burnett for her dedication to earning and saving her Dojo points, and for the great job she did stepping into the role of principal for the day!
