SAS ES Celebrates Earth Day All Week Long
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025: At Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School, Earth Day wasn’t just a day — it was a whole week of excitement, learning, and celebration!
Throughout the week, our students participated in several activities highlighting the importance of caring for our planet. We were thrilled to welcome an Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency representative, who gave an engaging presentation about recycling and sustainability. Our students learned practical ways they can make a positive impact on the environment every day.
Adding to the celebration, Ms. Jennifer from the Betts Branch Library visited some of our classrooms to share Earth Day-themed books.
A huge thank you to our special guests and everyone who helped make Earth Week a success! Our Atoms had a blast learning, exploring, and growing into thoughtful stewards of the environment.
