Thursday, May 22nd, 2025: The Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School gym was transformed into a vibrant celebration of global cultures during our Cultural Cruise event! From 5:30 to 7:00 PM, students proudly presented research projects on cultures they feel connected to, showcasing months of hard work and personal exploration that began mid-March.
Each display offered something unique: traditional food samples, cultural facts, interactive games, flags, pins, and live performances. Visitors were invited to “cruise” from country to country, learning something new at each stop. A highlight of the evening included a cultural dance performance with everyone smiling and clapping along.
We thank King David’s for generously donating falafel and tahini, which gave our guests a delicious taste of Middle Eastern cuisine!
Events like these remind us how rich and diverse our school community is. Great job, Atoms!
