Saturday, November 9th, 2024: The Syracuse Academy of Science High School Robotics Club proudly participated in the Bridges Challenge at the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST), bringing six teams to compete. Demonstrating remarkable engineering skills and creativity, the SAS Atoms achieved outstanding results, securing first and third place in the high school division and the Best Name Award!

Congratulations to Our Award-Winning Teams:

  • First Place: Selena Ramsdale and Mahir Yavuz

  • Third Place: Araceli Goodyear and Mickayla Pagan

  • Best Name Award: "Arch Enemies" — Gianna Ciciaralli and Ghadeer Alomeri

The competition challenged teams to design and build bridges that balanced strength with weight efficiency, with each bridge evaluated based on the load it could carry relative to its mass.

These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of the scholars. Please join in congratulating these talented students on their success!

Building a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, SAS remains committed to nurturing students’ potential in these fields. Their performance at the Bridges Challenge demonstrates the powerful combination of talent and determination among the SAS community. Let the success continue as these students aim high and build bridges to the future!
