Syracuse Academy of Science STEAM Club Shines at Future Women in STEM Event

Saturday, October 12th, 2024: The Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School STEAM club took on an incredible challenge at The Museum of Science & Technology's Future Women in STEM program! Guided by Feldmeier engineers, our talented ladies crafted a table of sticks and candy dots. Their goal? Build the sturdiest structure and test its strength by loading it with bags of beans.

We're thrilled to share that their hard work and creativity paid off—their table held an impressive 2914 grams, earning them second place! 

Congratulations to our future women in STEM for showcasing such amazing teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience! Keep building, keep dreaming, and keep pushing boundaries.
