Sisters Empowering Sisters Conference
On Friday, March 22, 2019, thirty-two young ladies from SAS attended a two-day conference that celebrates young women by empowering them through panel discussions and presentations on health, well-being, careers, and higher education. Twenty-six of the students attended both days of the conference, placing SAS at #1 for the 3rd year in a row for the highest number of conference participants to return the second day! Khalia Robinson, Aliyah Felder and Alexius Pierce won books from authors present at the conference, based on their participation and remembrance of small details mentioned during the panel discussions. The ladies represented our school well, and they presented themselves well. Their behavior was recognized by conference leaders and panel members. They stayed together, watched out for one another, and learned useful information while having a wonderful time together!
