Syracuse Symphoria Partners with SAS Elementary
SAS Elementary and Symphoria partner together for an exciting project! In the 2018-2019 school year, students at the SAS elementary will have the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument. As part of the partnership, Symphoria will provide the teaching staff to teach students one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, violin and cello during an after school program.
On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, as a kick off to the new partnership, Symphoria came to SAS elementary and presented a small concert. The concert was followed by a meet and greet with members of Symphoria and SAS students were invited to a musical instrument “petting zoo” to try the instruments and decide on their choice.
The goal of this partnership is to give students at SAS the opportunity to excel in music alongside science, technology, engineering and math and to continue to build relationships within our community.
