On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 #SASCS Sophomores visited Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Nazareth College held an information session with speakers from their admissions and financial aid departments along with the student support programs. This exposure to the full college experience provides our #SASAtoms with a realistic look at what college entails. Several Nazareth students shared their own college experience with our students. The Program concluded with a campus tour and lunch. Thank you, Nazareth College, for preparing our #SASAtoms for their future. Go atoms!

On Thursday, May 10th, 2018 the fourth-graders took a field trip to The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango. #SASAtoms pet and fed animals, such as llamas, deer, goats, giraffes, and even a bull. The Wild offers different animal demonstrations every day. We were able to learn about alligators, black bears, and tigers. We learned that The Wild has the only white Bengal tiger in New York State! The students really enjoyed being up close and personal with these beautiful animals and made connections to our animal adaptations unit as we made our way through the exhibits. Go Atoms!
