Megan told Atoms about how her job as a journalist is to get information and tell stories. She showed students fun videos of her trying different foods and rides at the New York State Fair and the various equipment she and other journalists use, like a camera and microphone. Scholars were very excited to welcome Megan into their classroom. We have some future journalists in our school!

Tuesday, November 14th, 2023: Is that a fly on the wall? Nope! That’s Mr. Farnach. Since the students at Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School read 5,000 pages for the reading challenge, Mr. Farnach volunteered to be duct-taped to the wall. More than 20 students helped to duct tape him to the wall. We even heard a 7th grader say, "This was worth doing the reading challenge!"
Stay tuned, Mr. Farnach has more in the works because the students have recently surpassed 10,000 pages!
