Three Congressional Award Winners at #SASCS

The #SASCS Class of 2018 is proud to announce three Congressional Award Winners. Luis Gonzalez-Pena, Carmen Russo, and Steven Pham. All three were awarded the Bronze Certificate, and Carmen also received the Silver Certificate Honors. Hands-On, Minds-On Learning at Onondaga Lake Park

On Friday, June 8, 2018, #SASCS Elementary Students went to the Wegman's Park in Liverpool to soak up the sun, horse around on the tire swing, and explore on the playground. #SASAtoms worked in teams to play football and kickball; developing their teamwork skills while engaging in organized games. We also took a short walk to observe Onondaga Lake. Students applied their lessons from the plants and animals units in science during our walk on the lake. Hands-on, Minds-on. Senator DeFrancisco's New York State Senate Youth Leadership Awards #SASCS Grads

On Friday, June 1, 2018, five of our graduating #SASCS seniors were awarded by Senator DeFrancisco's Youth Leadership program. The program is designed to highlight and celebrate well-rounded students who excel academically and have exhibited leadership through extracurricular or volunteer activities. Students must be nominated by a teacher, administrator, counselor or other school faculty member. Go Atoms! #SASCS #SASAtoms

Get Air with #SASCS Elementary!

On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, #SASCS elementary classes enjoyed a break from the classroom at the Get Air Syracuse Trampoline Park. Students jumped on the trampolines, navigated obstacle courses, and dribbled their way to basketball fame. #SASAtoms who demonstrated excellent behavior in the classroom and PE were awarded this field trip. As summer approaches these trips remind our students to get outside and play! Go Atoms! #SASCS #SASAtoms

Congratulations Class of 2018

We believe in building success one ATOM at a time, and each of the students graduating on June 21 is no exception. The #SASCS Class of 2018 was offered a cumulative of $3,264,072 in scholarships and received a total of 201 college acceptance letters to 75 individual colleges. We are remarkably proud of every member of the class of 2018, and can't wait to see what each of their futures hold. Go Atoms!

May Student of the Month Ceremony at #SASCS Elementary

On Wednesday, May 30, and Thursday, May 31, 2018, our #SASCS classes had their Student of the Month ceremonies. #SASAtoms were awarded certificates for their hard work. #SASCS Middle School Blasts Off at the CNY Rocket Team Challenge

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, scholars from #SASCS Middle School brought their amazing skills to the CNY Rocket Team Challenge hosted by the Museum of Science & Technology - MOST. Students from the 5th, 6th and 7th grades prepared a rocket for this competition. #SASAtoms demonstrated their knowledge in rocket parts, designs, and other physics concepts. #SASCS Achievers Invade Sky Zone!

On Thursday, May 31, 2018, #SASCS middle schoolers visited Sky Zone Trampoline Park. The #SASAtoms who attended were the highest merit achievers in our school. Luau Reading Night at #SASCS Elementary

On Wednesday, May 30, 2018, #SASAtoms and their families enjoyed a Luau themed Reading Night. Activities included: writing sight words in sand, Palm Tree letter sounds, reading by the pool, a board game, crafts, and a fun photo booth. Students enjoyed completing a scavenger hunt. Parents were able to learn about the importance of reading over the summer as well. Did you know your child can lose 22% (approx. 2 levels) of their reading level if they don't read over the summer?! So don't forget to visit your public library this summer! Go Atoms! #SASAtoms #SASCS

#SASCS High School Spring Dean's List Dinner

On Thursday, May 31, 2018, #SASCS students who maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher over the course of the marking period were honored at the end of year Dean's List Dinner. The #SASCS Dean, Jeanine Brand, handed out the honors and #SASAtoms and their families celebrated with dinner.
