On Friday, October 7th and 14th, 2016, third grade went on a field trip to The Wild. They began their day with lunch overlooking a beautiful lake. Then for the remainder of the day students had the opportunity to explore the animal exhibits. They were able to feed goats, llamas, bulls, and many other farm animals. There was an oversight balcony which allowed students to pet giraffes and see them up close. The students loved looking at the intricate details of the giraffes' spots and noticing its blue tongue. There was also a place for the classes to stand over an alligator pit to observe how they move about their exhibit from above. They were fortunate enough to experience snow leopard and tiger shows as well where they learned interesting facts about the animals and watched them do tricks. The students even had the chance to ask questions to the animals' caregivers. The trip was a fun way for students to observe animals and learn all about how they survive in the wild.
