
Thursday, October 9th, 2025: Families joined us at Syracuse Elementary School for Curriculum Night! Each classroom featured a presentation showcasing the curriculum and what students are learning this year. Families also had the opportunity to explore the Music and Art Rooms for some hands-on fun. It was a wonderful evening celebrating our school community and strengthening the partnership between families and teachers.

Tuesday, October 21st, 2025: Syracuse Academy of Science High School juniors and seniors visited St. John Fisher University for a campus tour and college experience. During their visit, students had the opportunity to connect with SAS alumnus ZyKerra Carmichael, who is currently studying to become a teacher. ELA teacher Mrs. Greene also joined the trip as a chaperone. What a special experience for her, as St. John Fisher is her alma mater.

Tuesday, September 30th: Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School proudly celebrated students who best demonstrated the character trait of Responsibility throughout the past month.
Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for one’s actions. A responsible citizen looks out for the well-being of others and recognizes that everyone has a role to play in making the world a better place.
These outstanding Atoms were recognized as Students of the Month and rewarded with a Student of the Month pin, a dress-down pass, and the honor of signing Mrs. Miller’s Marvelous Minds Wall.
Congratulations to all of our responsible Atoms for setting a positive example for their peers and living out the values that make our school community shine!

Friday, October 10th, 2025: The Syracuse Academy of Science Varsity Soccer team delivered an outstanding performance in a thrilling match against Lafayette, securing a well-earned victory for the Atoms. The players demonstrated exceptional skill, strategy, and teamwork from the opening whistle, keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the game.
The Atoms’ determination and focus were evident in every play, from precise passing and intense defensive maneuvers to aggressive offensive drives. The team’s sportsmanship and commitment to excellence reflect the values we strive to instill in all our students.
Congratulations to the players and coaching staff for their hard work, preparation, and dedication on and off the field. This victory is a testament to their perseverance, teamwork, and passion for the game. We are proud of our athletes and look forward to cheering them on in the rest of the season.

Students toured both campuses, attended admissions information sessions, and connected with current college students and staff to learn about campus life.

Wednesday, September 24th, 2025: Juniors and seniors at Syracuse Academy of Science had the opportunity to meet with an admissions representative from Susquehanna University. The visit gave students a clear look at college life, from academic programs and campus community to what admissions officers look for in applications. It also helped them take the next steps in preparing for their college journeys.

Thursday, September 28th, 2025: Juniors and seniors at Syracuse Academy of Science (SASCS) saw the college's next steps firsthand when a SUNY Canton admissions representative visited campus. The session gave students practical information about college life, academic programs, and the many opportunities SUNY Canton offers, helping students take confident steps toward their post-secondary goals.
During the visit, students learned about:

Admissions requirements, application timelines, and financial aid basics

Thursday, September 18th, 2025: The Syracuse Academy of Science High School soccer team proudly hosted Tully for their first-ever home game on the brand-new soccer field.
This milestone marks an exciting new chapter for Atoms Athletics. From teamwork on the field to the energy in the stands, it was a day to remember. Congratulations to our student-athletes—we can’t wait to see what this season brings!

Monday, September 15th, 2025: During her morning walkthroughs, Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School Dean Mrs. Miller captured some wonderful moments of Eureka Math. Kindergarten and first-grade Atoms were busy building strong foundations in math, practicing problem-solving, exploring numbers, and sharpening their skills through hands-on learning.
Seeing our youngest learners grow in confidence and curiosity is exciting as they discover that math is not just about numbers; it’s about thinking, reasoning, and exploring new ideas.
