Saturday, September 14th, 2024: Shoutout to the Syracuse Academy of Science Boys High School soccer team for an amazing comeback effort against Cazenovia! Down 4-0 at halftime, they fought back to 4-2 and shut down the Caz Lakers in the second half!

Friday, September 13th, 2024: Second, third, and fourth-grade Syracuse Academy of Science Atoms kicked off their first week of Art with a unique twist! Ms. A-B introduced these scholars to a Jenga-inspired game called Pick One! Students had a blast searching for colors while carefully balancing their towers. The challenge? Keep the tower from tumbling!

Syracuse Academy of Science Teaches Deans the Marzano Framework to Enhance Classroom Experience

Monday, August 21st, 2024: This week, Deans, curriculum coordinators, and coaches are participating in an intensive training on the Marzano "New Art and Science of Teaching" framework held at Syracuse Academy of Science High School. Dr. Melanie Magee, a coach, consultant, and presenter from Marzano Resources, led the training. The sessions' primary focus is effectively using the Marzano framework to coach teachers and improve instructional practices. Key areas covered include direct instruction and strategies for increasing student engagement, which have been reviewed in depth to enhance teaching quality across SANY schools.

Saturday, June 1st, 2024: Our talented Syracuse Academy of Science High School Robotics teams participated in the Museum of Science & Technology's (MOST) Rocket Challenge!

It was an incredible experience where our students showcased their engineering skills and creativity in constructing a model rocket. We are proud of their hard work, dedication, and team spirit. Thank you to the MOST for hosting such an inspiring event and providing our students with this fantastic opportunity.

SAS MS STEAM Club Excels at MOST's Rocket Challenge

Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School STEAM Club Thrills at Rocket Challenge with High-Flying Success

Saturday, June 1st, 2024: The Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School STEAM club soared through the MOST's Rocket Challenge! SANY Experiment 626 and Team Total Eclipse navigated the inspection phase and carefully packed cotton balls around their egg astronauts. SANY Experiment 626's rocket reached an impressive apogee of 195 feet, with their egg surviving the journey! They secured 20th place overall. Although Team Total Eclipse faced a challenge when their parachute didn't deploy, resulting in no recorded data, both teams had an incredible time and are already excited to return next year. 

Great job, STEAM club!
